The Durex Sex Survey

I know it's old news, but here's a link to the Durex Sex Survey conducted in 2005 (2006 results not out yet, I guess).

I'd just like to point out the discrepency in figures for "Frequency of Sex" - men get it off 104 times a year on average, copared to 101 times for women. This would suggest that:

  • Women are less likely to report having had sex
  • Men are more likely to exxagerate the frequencies they have sex
  • The number of male homosexuals around accounts for almost 1.5% of sex (bad stats)
  • Lesbians don't like to have sex much

However, trolling the sex surveys of previous years, it turns out the figures for frequency of sex, men:women varies, with 101:106 in 2004, 144:138 in 2002 (!!!) and 102:91 in 2001, which goes to show that even with 300,000 participants you just can't be sure of getting good statistics.

Incidentally, Singapore has ranked among the bottom for every single year the survey has been done for frequency of sex.

Interesting survey, though its accuracy does seem to be difficult to measure.

If we are having too little sex, then where has all that libido gone?... Broadband maybe.. lolz

My guess is that Singaporeans are doing it wrong. We must not enjoy it much, otherwise we'd be having more of it...

Time for 'Romancing Singapore' to get R-rated.
